Creating the Perfect Herbal Brew
October 20, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm$30
At The Alchemist’s Kitchen in Stockton Market
If you’ve ever enjoyed a cup of herbal tea, you know how comforting it can be. Besides being one of the most ancient forms of medicine, tea can also be deeply nourishing. Plus, making your own tea blend can be very rewarding and cost effective.
In this class, I will discuss some of the guidelines I use for building a tea blend based on taste, herbal actions, and energetics. We will also briefly discuss and taste some of my favorite tea herbs.
Individuals will take home a handout that includes several of my favorite recipes.
$35 at the door
tickets are non-refundable
My mission is to reconnect people with plants for optimum health and balance through herbal consultations, custom blends, and classes/workshops because plants and people are made for each other.
I am the founder of Cultivating Roots LLC, a small-scale herb farm and apothecary based out of Bucks County, PA and Titusville, NJ. Most recently, I formed an Herbalists Without Borders chapter in Mercer County, NJ because I believe health and wellness is our birthright, and everyone deserves equal access.
I have a Bachelor of Sciences degree in biology, and have spent the last several years working and studying with different herbalists. I finished the two-year clinical herbalist training program at David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies, where I am currently taking a Therapeutics program. In addition, I am working with Andrew Appello of Healthy Living Acupuncture in Princeton, NJ to become a registered herbalist of the American Herbalist Guild. I will always be a student, and will forever be in awe of the plants.
