Herbal Support for Allergies w/ Kate Moxham
April 13, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 am
At The Alchemist’s Kitchen in Stockton Market
This workshop is a space to deepen our understanding of herbs that nourish and strengthen the immune system.
The onset of spring is a really exciting time for many, where both plants and animals are beginning to wake from a state of dormancy. This increase in energy calls to many people, bringing them outdoors into the wild. For those afflicted with seasonal allergies, this is often an uncomfortable and frustrating time. Learn how to combat and even prevent these symptoms through various lifestyle, dietary and herbal approaches!
In this class, we will talk about the immune system and its relationship to other systems in the body. We will also discuss herbs that deeply nourish and strengthen the immune system, herbs that inhibit excessive immune response, and how to decide which ones are most fitting for you. Individuals will get to sample some herbs, and go home with handouts and a tea.
$30 in advance per session
$35 at the door per session

My mission is to reconnect people with plants for optimum health and balance through herbal consultations, custom blends, and classes/workshops because plants and people are made for each other.
I am the founder of Cultivating Roots LLC, a small-scale herb farm and apothecary based out of Bucks County, PA and Titusville, NJ. Most recently, I formed an Herbalists Without Borders chapter in Mercer County, NJ because I believe health and wellness is our birthright, and everyone deserves equal access.
I have a Bachelor of Sciences degree in biology, and have spent the last several years working and studying with different herbalists. I finished the two-year clinical herbalist training program at David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies, where I am currently taking a Therapeutics program. In addition, I am working with Andrew Appello of Healthy Living Acupuncture in Princeton, NJ to become a registered herbalist of the American Herbalist Guild. I will always be a student, and will forever be in awe of the plants.
