August is Baking a Difference, with Animal Alliance
Peach Linzer Tart season!
In June we started a new monthly tradition: Baking a Difference. Each month, the Stockton Market family will choose a new organization and bake a special cookie, then donating 70% of the proceeds.
August’s Baking a Difference cookie is a buttery Peach Linzer Tart! Focusing on this season’s sweetest pick, 70% of proceeds for the cookie will be benefiting Animal Alliance.
Founded in 2001, Animal Alliance in Lambertville, NJ is an animal welfare organization that rescues and rehabilitates homeless animals, caring for them until they are adopted. They focus their efforts on animals facing euthanasia at other shelters, as well as those who were victims of cruelty or neglect.
They know that the only way to fix pet overpopulation is to "fix" our pets, and Animal Alliance is dedicated to ensuring that all pet owners, regardless of income, have access to affordable spay/neuter services. In 2009, they founded the Planned Pethood low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Planned Pethood also offers affordable, basic veterinary care with the aim of keeping at-risk pets in their homes and out of shelters.
Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday, you'll find our Peach Linzer Cookie in the bakery where 70% of proceeds will be donated to support these efforts. Not to mention, they are delicious!
Good cookies for a good cause.
